WHO FCTC COP9: Dear President Cyril Ramaphosa

As South Africa prepares to participate in the COP9, we ask for an earnest consideration of the scientific evidence supporting vaping as a harm reduced alternative to smoking. We also ask that the voices of ENDS users who have successfully moved away from smoking with the aid of these products be taken seriously.


COCHRANE REVIEW: E-cigarettes more effective at helping smokers quit

The review, produced by Cochrane, examined the best quality evidence on e-cigarettes for quitting smoking from around the world. They found that e-cigarettes were more effective at helping smokers quit than the use of nicotine replacement therapy, currently the most commonly used medication to help smokers quit.


Experts Say that We Should Trust Science to Save Lives

Electronic cigarettes and heat-not-burn devices are among the innovative alternatives to conventional cigarettes. According to Public Health England, vaping poses only a small fraction of the risks of smoking and switching completely from smoking to vaping conveys substantial health benefits over continued smoking.
