I was a 2 packet smoker for 20+ years. When I met my wife I made a commitment to quit, which I did, cold turkey. This unfortunately only lasted briefly and began smoking again. just more than 6 years ago I challenged myself to quit again as my health was taking a dive. This time I wanted to use electronic cigarettes. So I bought my first cigalike kit, however, this only managed to reduce my smoking habit slightly. After a couple of months, I bumped into a mate that was selling a new generation of vapes, one with an open tank and removable battery. I bit the bullet and purchased it with a 6mg e-liquid. Within 3 days I had quit smoking completely.

I have been smoke-free for 6 years now. I have never felt better. I don’t suffer from morning coughs, don’t struggle with the biannual bronchitis bouts and able to take long walks; climb stairs and enjoy life like I have not been able to do as a smoker.

Vaping isn’t completely risk-free, but if compared to combustible tobacco I believe that it is far safer. I, therefore, will always encourage smokers to make that switch.
